LGA Club History

For more than six decades, the Ladies Golf Association has been a home for women who love the game, the competition, and the friendships that come with both. What started as a small group of local golfers meeting at their local Municipal Golf Course Pro Shop has grown into one of the area’s longest-standing golf traditions.
Since those early years, LGA members have competed in club championships, Spring and Fall Handicap Tournaments, and invitational events that have crowned generations of champions. Familiar names appear again and again across the record books. Members who won year after year, mentored newcomers, and helped build the culture of sportsmanship the association is known for today.
The photos and clippings in the gallery below capture that history: founding officers from 1962, championship trophy presentations, hole-in-one celebrations, and the club moments that have defined the LGA through the decades. Together, they tell the story of a group built on competition, camaraderie, and a shared love of golf.
